My Story

Hi there, I'm Ryan and this coming March I will be running the Rome marathon in aid of the Pepper Foundation.

I'm and avid runner but have never done a full marathon before with my first half marathon taking place in October 25! I managed to raise over £500 for a local charity last time round and thought as I'm testing myself once again I'd also give back to a great local cause and try to raise some much needed funds.

For anyone that doesn't already know about the amazing work the Pepper Foundation do, I'm trying to raise money that will go towards hospice care at home for children with life-limiting & terminal illnesses.

The services they fund are so important and include:

  • Specialised nursing care so families can stay in the comfort of their own home
  • Play specialist sessions for the patients & their families - so that they can keep the joy going through such a tough time
  • Family days out, so they get the opportunity to get out together.
  • Bereavement support for families throughout and after end of life.

Let's hope I can finish the Marathon and am still walking at the end, and also manage to put some much needed funds together for such a vital cause.
